Perl User Groups - David H. Adler
David H. Adler is a founding member of the first Perl user group, the New York Perl Mongers. Later he became the head of the group and still keeps the group going. He was instrumental in forming and developing other Perl user groups across the world and is active on many of their mailing lists.
Perl Community - Ask Bjørn Hansen
Ask provides many support services for the Perl community including mailing lists for most lists devoted to Perl, hosting for Perl related web sites such as dev.perl.org and www.perl.org. Special thanks to Ask's employer, ValueClick, for allowing him to help Perl.
Perl Advocacy - YAPC::Europe team
The YAPC::Europe team brought high quality but affordable Perl conferences last year in London and this year in Amsterdam. This award is shared by Leon Brocard, Greg McCarroll, and Jonathan Peterson.
